Website Help For Using An Easy Professional Photo Editor

There are plenty of paid versions and free versions of photo editors available to create a banner or resize your photos, for example.  However, it takes time to learn how to use each photo editor.

One simple photo editor that I have settled on is Photo Plus 6.0.  There is a paid version, but I simply use the free version and it was pretty easy to learn.  I don't try to learn the whole photo editor at once, I just master the functions that I need at the moment.

You can download the free PhotoPlus 6.0 here at FreeSerifSoftware .  There are other free downloads available, but for now, the photo editor is all you need to download.

Once you have downloaded the editor, click it on to open it up.

For an example, we will create a banner:

1.  If you see the Start Up Wizard, simply click on "Create New Picture", if you do not see the Start Up Wizard, click on "File", then click on "New".

2.  A "New Image" window will pop up with dimension choices.

3.  To create a banner: To change the width and height:  You can use the up and down buttons or highlight the number in the box and type in "376" for the width, and "64" for the height.

4.  Below, where it reads "Background" choose "White".

5.  Leave everything else on the pop up window the same.

6.  Click "OK" to close the window.  The window will close and you will see a small, horizontal, white box in the corner of the photo editor.  Click on the middle maximize button at the top of the white box and the box will move to the middle of the Photo editor.

Changing the background color:

Click "View", then "Color Tab", choose a color and close the color tab.

Click "Select", then "Select All"

Click the "Fill Tools" button with the tilted bucket on the left menu

Click on the white box, the color will change to the color you chose.

7.  On the left hand menu of the Photo editor, you will see a large "A" for the text tools option.  Click on the solid "A".

8.  Click on the box logo in the middle of the editor, an "Add Text" pop up window will appear.

9.  For the font choice, you can make any choice. For the banner in this example, choose "Edwardian Script".

10.  For the font size,  choose "36".

11.  Click on "B" for bold and "I" for italic.

12.  Click on the color box and chose the black square for the font color.

13. Click the center align box for the center alignment of the title.

14. Leave the Anti-Aliased box checked.

15. Now type the words for your banner.

16. Now, click the "OK" button.

17. If your title is not centered on the box, simply choose the "Move Tool" (the fourth box from the top on the left menu) and move your title to the center of the box.

18. There! You have a simple banner for your site.

19.  Click "File", then Export Optimizer.

A.  Click Export on the next pop up window,

B.  Choose or write a file name for your banner.

C. Click "Save" to save the file to a folder.

TIP: Always try to include your website's theme, or the web page theme in your file names.
