After you have signed up, within 24 hours to 3 days - usually much sooner - your url (website .com address) with your domain name will be live on the internet.
In the meantime, you can continue to build your website. (Your newly built website won't go live on the internet until you click the "Publish" button after you have finished building and editing your website in the SiteStudio Editor.)
Setting Up Your SiteStudio Information
1. Once you have signed up, you will receive a welcome email.
Click the "Getting Started" link in the email.
Click the "SiteStudio" request link to request the "SiteStudio", then fill out the form.
You will receive an email when your SiteStudio login is set up with your domain and login information.
2. Login to the SiteStudio Website Builder.
The next page varies depending on your use of the Sitebuilder:
3. If you arrive at the "Welcome Page" or any page with the "Site Settings" link at the top of the page, click the "Site Settings" link.
A. Click "Change Global Settings", fill in the "Firm Information" form, click "next". You can always fill in some of the form later.
C. The next page will be the "Catalog" page. There is no need to add anything here yet. Click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
D. Your page should appear, if so, you can skip the next step.
4. A. If you arrive on the "Select Website Category" page, select "Business" and click "Next".
B. Complete steps 3-8 below.
C. Continue below at the "Build Your Website With The Basics" section.
5. If you need further help, you can always click the "?" in the right hand corner of the SiteStudio and follow the detailed instructions.
Continue To Build Your Website
Now that you have your website information set up, continue to build your website.
1. Click the "Site Settings" link at the top of the page.
2. Click "Change Website Color & Style".
On the next page titled "Select Website Style" choose the following options:
3. In the "Please select a layout ..." box, click "Block".
For these instructions we have chosen the "Block" layout, but you can make any choice you like.
4. In the "... and a color scheme" box click "Blue" (or the color of your choice).
5. In the choice below the photo of the page, click "New Style".
6. Make sure the "Apply color scheme to all pages on your Website" box is checked.
7. Click "Next".
A. On the next page, "Firm Information" fill in the form, click "next". You can always fill in some or all of the form later.
B. The next page will be "Please choose the topic of your Page". Select "Catalog", click "Next".
C. The next page will be the "Catalog" page. There is no need to add anything here yet. Click "Next" at the bottom of the page.
8. Your page should appear like the website design page or the website design layout and color of your choice.
(If the "Available Pages" page appears, simply click "Catalog page", then click "next", then "next" again on the following page. Your page should show up now.)
Build Your Website With The Basics
You can continue to explore the demo using the steps above to find a design that you like. Once you find a website design, simply duplicate the steps in your SiteStudio website builder using the basic colors. Edit your pages, then fill in the information on the Settings Page and your website is ready for you to build more pages and publish. It's that simple!
Build Your Website With The Custom Colors
If you want custom colors: Go to the Website Help Builder home page to choose a website color design, or if you came to this page from a website design page, return to that page for instructions on that design layout and color.
You should always get your website design set up first before typing any content or using any images, so you won't have to make changes to your content if you decide to change colors or styles. However, if you decide to change the look of your website, you can, even if you have typed in a good amount of information.
You can always rework your design by clicking the "Settings" tab at the top of the page, then following the website design in your instructions again.
