It's looks complicated but it's so easy to build this web page.

BUILDING A FLASH PAGE

The flash page can be used to get extra attention from your website visitors.  Having a flash page helps with marketing by making your site stand out from the rest of the millions of websites that are on the web.  The flash page makes it easier for visitors to remember their experience when they visited your site, making it more likely that they will bookmark your site and return often.

The flash intro page can be used as your home page, especially if you are using a blog for search engine traffic.  The flash intro page can also be used to introduce another section of your website, maybe a book, art, or a product you are selling that you would like to feature.  The options are limitless.

Here's the quick summary:

Try the website builder demo to see how easy it is to build this website flash page.

This works best for the flash page below if you have already completed the build the website layout section for the "Strong" layout.

CONGRATULATIONS!  You have built a flash page.  You can simply keep the color design that you have, or you can go to the Settings page of the website color design of your choice and use the "Settings Page" instructions to change the color of your flash page.  Use the Settings Page as a guide to your colors, experiment with which color combinations look best for your flash page.

For example: The gold color of the flash page shown was built using the Settings Page for the gold Block Design general page, click the link below the picture.

Simply find the Settings page for the color that you want and use the Settings Page to change the color of the Flash page. You can make your flash page any color using the Settings Page instructions or experiment on your own.

Note: Some flash pages that are available with different website layouts cannot be changed.  In this case you can choose a flash page that matches one of the custom colors website designs.

For example:  The Basic Settings Flash Page below was used with the basic settings, then the following pages were used with the Burgundy Settings design.

Now you can continue to build your flash page

Once you are satisfied with the website and color design of your flash page, continue below:

4.  Click the "Edit" tab at the top of the Flash splash page.

5.  Fill in the "title", then click the "Launch full screen rich editor" link and start adding text to your page in the Site Studio Editor.

6.  To save your page, find and click the "Save and Exit" button on the top menu to exit the SiteStudio Editor. (Make sure you always click the "Save and Exit" button, because the button next to it is "Exit Without Saving"! You don't want to exit without saving your work!)

7.  You will see the "Splash Page" with the "Launch full screen rich editor" box on the next page.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Next".

8.  You should see your finished flash page on the next page.

NOTE: There are many different designs for the Flash Splash pages, you should see what options work best for the design and layout your have chosen.

If you type in the Site Studio Editor for the moving text in the box on the front of the flash page, try to keep your words to a minimum.  Keep the typing as simple as possible, try not to do anything but type and click the return key for a new paragraph.  Just a few lines will do.  If the moving text does not show up on your page when you use the Site Studio Editor, try typing directly in the box below the "Launch full screen rich editor" link.  The fewer the words the better.  Experiment until you get a word display that is acceptable.  Keep it simple.

You might need to build your website with just a few menu buttons on the flash page, maybe up to seven page buttons in the menu.  Then simply add any additional links on the pages in your website.

Note: If your flash page (design, not color) does not look like the ones pictured above, check to make sure you checked "New Style" on step 6 in the Main Page Design steps, when you chose your design on the "Select Website Style" page.

CONTINUE TO BUILD A WEBSITE

If you use the flash page for a home page, simply continue to build your following website pages with the main page and/or slideshow page designs.  Building a website is just that simple!

PUBLISH IT!

When you are finished building your website, simply click the "Publish" button at the top of the SiteStudio page.  Your website will be published to the internet.  You should check to make sure everything is fine.  You can always continue to build your website by clicking on the "Edit" button, make your changes and click the "publish" button again.
